LES GRANULATS du groupe cb
's Aggregates Division of the CB Group

Extraction and recovery of natural and recycled aggregates
Les Granulats du Groupe CB materials to build the industry, construction, and public works of tomorrow.
Our division,Les Granulats du Groupe CB has its origins in 1896 in Ferques, with the artisanal exploitation of a marble quarry by Marbres du Boulonnais. Now a leader in the extraction and recovery of natural and recycled aggregates, it supplies materials for industry ( steel, lime, glass, animal feed, etc.), construction (ready-mix concrete, prefabrication), public works, and trading.
Fully dedicated to project performance and customer satisfaction, our teams rely on seven maritime or multimodal logistics platforms, nine quarries (including two international sites ), six recycling platforms, and four backfilling sites. Our Ferques rail terminal accounts for 25% of aggregate rail traffic in France. Thanks to the commitment of our 350 employees and high-quality deposits with reserves lasting more than 100 years, we process more than 10 million tons each year and guarantee regular, sustainable supplies.

Boulonnais quarries
Les Carrières du Boulonnais is the historic birthplace of the CB Group. Founded in 1896 in Ferques (62) by Auguste Poulain for the artisanal extraction of marble, the site quickly specialized in the extraction and processing of aggregates, becoming the largest open-pit quarry in France. Covering 450 hectares and with an annual production capacity of 7 million tons, its limestone, rich in calcium carbonate (CaCO₃), is highly sought after by manufacturers.
The aggregates are distributed in France, Europe, and internationally for construction, public works, concrete manufacturing, industry, and onshore/offshore projects.
The Ferques site is connected to the rail network, a strategic infrastructure that has enabled Carrières du Boulonnais to expand into the Île-de-France region.
Four platforms handle the transit and recycling of materials: Limay ( trimodal, 400,000 tons/year), Mitry-Mory (bimodal, 1 million tons/year), Émerainville (bimodal, 100,000 tons/year) and Rieux (trimodal, 100,000 tons/year).
White Careers
Carrières Blanc operates several deposits of high-quality limestone, rich in calcium carbonate (CaCO₃), known for its non-freezing and non-reactive properties. The company has three sites in the Ain department (Champdor, Hauteville Lompnes, and Izernore), supplemented by two joint venture quarries in Porcieu-Amblagnieu (Isère), which also specializes in massive limestone rocks, and Cusy (Haute-Savoie), which exploits a scree deposit.
The Hauteville quarry is known for its RHONAPI ornamental stone, which is exported internationally for prestigious architectural projects, while other deposits provide marble limestone for urban development and public works.
With an annual production of nearly 800,000 tons of aggregates and riprap, Carrières Blanc supplies high-quality materials, traced and distributed in France and Switzerland, for construction, public works, industry, and onshore/offshore projects, from simple construction sites to large-scale projects.
CBS
Acquired by the CB Group in 1995, the Limont-Fontaine Quarry marks the CB Group's first expansion into the Valenciennes area (59).
With an annual production of around 400,000 tons of limestone aggregates and riprap, it mainly supplies the local construction and public works sectors, as well as the eastern part of the Île-de-France region. The quarry is committed to preserving natural resources and reducing its environmental impact.

TRAILSID
Trailsid, located in Dunkirk (59), processes and markets aggregates derived from the recycling of steel industry by-products, in particular crystallized slag from blast furnaces.
With an annual production of 350,000 tons, the unit follows a circular economy approach in partnership with an international group, recovering these materials in the form of crushed and processed aggregates.
