At the entrance to EDF’s Gravelines nuclear power plant, a six-metric-ton stone quarried in Ferques now bears a powerful message promoting safety, security, and health. Through this symbolic project, Carrières du Boulonnais, a subsidiary of the CB Group, is putting its expertise to work on an iconic project that exemplifies both local industrial excellence and the shared commitment of the region’s stakeholders.

Prefectural visit to the heart of the CB Group

The CB Group was delighted to welcome Bertrand Gaume, Prefect of the Hauts-de-France region, to its headquarters in Leulinghen-Bernes, accompanied by representatives from the Hauts-de-France Regional Directorate for Environment, Development and Housing (DREAL) and the Pas-de-Calais sub-prefecture. This meeting was followed by an immersion in the Ferques Quarry, the largest open-pit quarry in France and a truly iconic site in the region.
