Our 4 sectors

Four sectors, one ambition: transforming and promoting materials in a sustainable way

The CB Group brings together complementary expertise to design effective and responsible solutions.

Rooted in its traditional areas of expertise and firmly focused on sustainable innovation, the CB Group now structures its know-how around four major complementary sectors serving industry, local communities, and environmental transition.

Each of them brings cutting-edge expertise in their field, contributing to technical performance and ecological transition:

  • Les Granulats du Groupe CB : extraction and production of natural and recycled aggregates for industry, construction, and public works.
  • CB Group Minerals: design, processing, and promotion of fine minerals and low-carbon solutions for construction, industry, and agri-food.
  • Les Réfractaires du Groupe CB: development of innovative refractory solutions for very high-temperature environments, in France and internationally.
  • Les Bois du Groupe CB: manufacturing of glulam frames and structures for high-performance, sustainable, and responsible buildings.

Driven by a shared vision of creating sustainable value from materials, these four sectors combine technical expertise, innovation, and environmental responsibility. They support their customers and regions in addressing the major industrial, climate, and societal challenges of today and tomorrow.

Les Granulats du Groupe CB

Les Granulats du Groupe CB materials to build the industry, construction, and public works of tomorrow.

Our division,Les Granulats du Groupe CB  was founded in 1896 in Ferques. The division consists of various quarries based in France and Europe: Carrières du Boulonnais, Carrières Blanc, Trailsid, Carrières du Bassin de la Sambre, Canteras La Belonga ( Spain), and Granulats du Hainaut (Belgium).

Now a leader in the extraction and recovery of natural and recycled aggregates, it supplies materials for industry ( steel, lime, glass, animal feed, etc.), construction (ready-mix concrete, prefabrication), public works, and trading.

Minerals of the CB Group

The "CB Group Minerals" division brings together the Group's expertise in the processing, valorization, and characterization of high value-added minerals.

Led by CB Green, a key player in low-carbon materials, and by CTMM, a laboratory of excellence specializing in the analysis, formulation, and engineering of minerals, it develops innovative solutions capable of replacing traditional raw materials while reducing the environmental footprint. This momentum is reinforced by Minéraux Industriels du Québec, whose high-purity silica deposits consolidate the Group's presence in North America.

Together, these areas of expertise enable us to support the construction, industrial, and animal feed sectors with high-performance minerals that are responsible and adapted to the challenges of decarbonization.
