Dialogue with Elected Officials from the Terre des 2 Caps Region
Transparency, dialogue, and insight into our operations: les Granulats du Groupe CB brought together elected officials from the Communauté de Communes de la Terre des 2 Caps to discuss the challenges, projects, and commitments of the CB Group, its Aggregates division, and, more specifically, Carrières du Boulonnais. The meeting was marked by a spirit of collaboration and trust and was followed by a tour of the Ferques quarry.
The Boulonnais Quarries play a key role in embodying the strong safety culture at EDF’s Gravelines nuclear power plant
At the entrance to EDF’s Gravelines nuclear power plant, a six-metric-ton stone quarried in Ferques now bears a powerful message promoting safety, security, and health. Through this symbolic project, Carrières du Boulonnais, a subsidiary of the CB Group, is putting its expertise to work on an iconic project that exemplifies both local industrial excellence and the shared commitment of the region’s stakeholders.

Certified! The CB Group’s Ferques des Granulats site has just earned ISO 50001 certification, an international recognition that highlights the implementation of an effective and sustainable energy management system.

Prefectural visit to the heart of the CB Group
The CB Group was delighted to welcome Bertrand Gaume, Prefect of the Hauts-de-France region, to its headquarters in Leulinghen-Bernes, accompanied by representatives from the Hauts-de-France Regional Directorate for Environment, Development and Housing (DREAL) and the Pas-de-Calais sub-prefecture. This meeting was followed by an immersion in the Ferques Quarry, the largest open-pit quarry in France and a truly iconic site in the region.

On July 7, 2022, our Ferques quarry takes part in the Tour de France! The world's heaviest bicycle, installed at the bottom of the quarry by our staff, is in full effect, as is our 20-metre-long tarpaulin!
