My training: Baccalaureate in mechanical engineering followed by a BTS in production management.

My career at Granulats: I've been with the Group since 2001, when I was hired as a kiln operator on the Cybélithe project (a Research & Development project at the time), before becoming a laboratory technician, a machine operator and then, for the past 7 years, a miner-driller-planter.

My tasks: I drill and prepare the holes that will receive the explosive for blasting. I then carry out a survey describing the different types of material encountered during drilling (earth, sand, faults, fractured pebbles). This survey enables the miners to adapt their explosive charge.

What I like about my job: The autonomy and independence of my position, as well as risk management and problem solving.
