Sawmill Manager

Join Cosylva, a key player in the CB Group's new wood industry, and take charge of a sawmill at the heart of an ambitious project to promote local resources and develop sustainable solutions.

Reporting to the Industrial Director, you will manage a team of 12 production operators with the assistance of a team leader.

Your mission will be to manage the supply and operation of the COSYLVA sawmill.

• Managing log supplies:

• Maintain relationships with suppliers
• Order and receive the logs
• Participate in negotiations with suppliers for the purchase of logs
• Independently ensure the sawmill's supply of logs and lumber to guarantee supplies.
• Conduct negotiations with Douglas suppliers for the purchase of lumber
• Manage the quality of supplied logs and the quality of finished products

• Decide on sawing programs based on expressed requests

• Plan drying according to the requirements expressed

You will be responsible for receiving wood deliveries from suppliers, organizing storage, and scheduling pickups.

YOUR STRENGTHS FOR THE JOB

You have solid experience in forestry operations, sawmill management, and timber purchasing. You have technical knowledge.

You enjoy managing, motivating, and leading your teams.

You may have a vocational baccalaureate in sawmill technology, a BTS (advanced vocational diploma) in wood construction and housing systems, or a BTS in wood development and production.

The position is full-time, executive status, and is located in Bourganeuf.
